Soundcloud Announce New Update Called “Oops Something Went Wrong”

Online music player, Soundcloud, the platform widely used by DJs and fans alike to listen to the latest tracks and mixes, today announced a new update on the site that they expect will crash and be problematic, entitled “Oops Something Went Wrong”.

The new update, which spokespeople claim will make it “even longer” for account holders to upload their latest mixes before frustratingly crashing, is set to be rolled out “as soon as the team of crack engineers at Soundcloud get it wrong by putting as many bugs and problems into the update as possible”.

“We hope with this new update that people will be forced to wait even longer for their mixes to upload and in some cases, roughly 60% of the time, the upload will crash and show on screen the popular error message, that has become synonymous with the site, ‘Oops something went wrong,'” declared Soundcloud owner and CEO Alexander Ljung. “Picking the name for the new update was simple really, it was between ‘Oops something went wrong’, ‘Slowcloud’ and ‘Is Soundcloud down for anyone else’, referencing a popular thread title on Reddit and forums.”

Mr. Ljung claims that tests of the new software have been a massive success among a small group of testers with the site crashing and showing the ‘Oops something went wrong’ page “about 75% of the time” and that loading a one hour long mix now takes about 4 hours or “enough time for you to watch the film Ben Hur and still have a 20 minute wank”.

Upon hearing the news of the new update regular users grumbled noncommittally and shrugged their shoulders saying “they wouldn’t be getting their hopes up” as any time Soundcloud adds a new feature “it won’t work, or will take ages to work properly”.

Some users however reacted positively with the thinking that if Soundcloud have made a new feature that is designed to purposely break down then “with their track record of crashing and breaking down, this one might actually not work meaning that an update designed not to work would work and we can actually get our stuff uploaded and played without problems”.

Mr. Ljung claimed that in the case of the ‘Oops something went wrong’ update not working that the team of technicians at Soundcloud would do everything they can to address the problem with a view to repairing the issue “as soon as they get around to it” and that until that time users would be directed to an error message screen that will read “Oops something went wrong- went wrong, oops”.
