Global superclub brand and culinary divinity Godskitchen have today announced a very special new resident in the shape of EDM dessert icon Steve Aoki.
Godskitchen CEO and head chef Abraham Adamson explained the latest recruitment, “We’re delighted to welcome someone with Steve’s mixing skills to our team here at Godskitchen. He’s head and shoulders above his peers in the music industry, when it comes to mixing cake batter.”
“We first came across Steve when he played a Godskitchen event in Birmingham back in 2011,” continued Mr. Adamson, “myself and Markus Schulz were having a good old laugh at the state of the music he was playing and trying to discover a hilarious way to sack the booking agent who put him on the bill when he brought out a massive cake.”
“Coming from a culinary background I was impressed straight away by the sheer size of the cake and the quality of the icing work and also a little intrigued as to the role of a cake at an EDM event,” he recounted. “Then he threw it into the crowd, I was appalled to see a work of art like that triple tiered strawberry surprise go to waste, but at the same time grateful to have a distraction from the audio diarrhea spewing from the Funktion one sound system,” he added.
“Then I got splattered in the face by the cake, some of it went into my mouth and all of a sudden everything became clear, not only his use of gimmickry as a cover up for his total lack of musical talent but life in general,” he explained with an enlightened twinkle in his eye. “For the first time ever I was thinking clearly it really was a heavenly experience and I knew straight away that Godskitchen couldn’t be Godskitchen without this man.”
Aoki is set to take up his new role in forty days and forty nights when he finishes his epic trans Atlantic journey in an inflatable rubber dingy.
