Tale Of Us Announce Plans To Split

Berlin based duo Tale of Us have shocked their fans and the wider electronic music industry by announcing that they are to split and concentrate on solo projects.

Tale of Us, made up of Karm and Matteo, have been performing together since 2009 and have been friends since childhood after meeting in Milan following moves from Toronto and New York respectively. The announcement was made earlier today via their official Fcebook page, “Hey everyone, tonight we close the Terrace at DC10, it is with great sorrow that we announce that this will be our last ever gig as Tale of Us. It has been a roller coaster of a ride over the last four years and we take some great memories away with us. We want to thank each and everyone one of you for helping us get where we are today. We feel that we have taken Tale of Us as far as we can and now it is time to work on some solo projects that we have had in the pipeline for quite a while now. Peace, Karm & Matteo.”

In recent weeks there have been visible signs of tension between the two producers as they have continuously arrived and departed from gigs separately. There has also been a noticeable lack of communication between the pair while on stage. Karm recently spoke about his working relationship with Matteo, “I’ve been friends with Matteo for as long as I can remember and I have a great respect for his talent and his work ethic. But lately our relationship has become strained, I suppose it’s natural when you spend so much time with someone,” he explained.

“The real problem I have with him is the constant farting. When we were younger it was kind of funny but the older you get the more you realise that farts aren’t funny. He never stops, can you imagine being cooped up with a guy, who farts two or three times every minute, in a tiny DJ box playing a four hour set? It’s hell, if you look at our boiler room video you can see that there’s nobodty standing directly behind him. When we finish a set I can smell his farts off my clothes and my hair. When ladies come up to me after a show they actually think I smell like shit! I really don’t know how much longer I can put up with it,” he continued reluctantly.

“Matteo claims he has a medical condition called chronic flatulence or some shit like that but I don’t believe him and even if he did, does he really have to eat Indian food five times a week? I’m convinced he does it because he knows I don’t like it. Honestly I think his farting could mean the end for Tale of Us because right now all I’m getting from it is a Tale of Ass,” he concluded.

Although Matteo’s flatulence has not been credited as the official reason for Tale of Us’ decision to split, it is rumoured that a recent bout of  noxious gas during a gig in Malta was the straw that broke the camel’s back for Karm.
