A happy couple are reportedly undergoing a bout of celibacy, which is expected to last until the end of this highly engrossing TV box set which is set to end in three episodes time.
“We both just agreed that it’d be good for the relationship if we spent some time together reconnecting with a gripping televisual experience,” agreed Emma and Shane Miller. “It’s definitely a mutual agreement, we both just really need to take some time to really find out what happens when main character finds out about best friend’s betrayal with love interest.”
Shane said that it’s not uncommon for couples to avoid having sex over the duration of any number of TV box sets ranging from The Wire to True Detective. “Sex was just getting in the way of the narrative experience that a fulfilling box set like The Sopranos offers,” explained Emma. “So we decided to just cut it out entirely and fully commit to watching television together for 8 to 10 hours at a time.”
“Sex can start to dominate a relationship and become the only interaction you have with your partner to the point where you just don’t have time for box sets,” continued Shane. “It’s sad really, that you spend so much time having sex that you neglect things that really matter like who’s been killing those girls in True Detective or will Walt die of cancer in Breaking Bad.”
“We used to spend all of our time just sitting around having hour after hour of loving healthy sex,” concluded Emma, “without ever really getting to know the best box sets so that’s why we decided that the sex had to go.”
