DJ Headbutts Clubber For Persistently Requesting Tracks

A local DJ has been arrested following a police investigation into reports that he headbutted a man on stage during a recent DJ set.

The DJ, named as Brendan Carter, was said to have been playing a headline slot at popular hotspot The Chamber in Springfield when the incident occurred.

“I was in the middle of two tracks, completely zoned in,” claimed Brendan, “when the guy came up and started shouting across the desk to play some track or other.”

Brendan claims that to placate the boisterous clubber he held up one finger which “is industry standard for give us a second I’m in the middle of a mix” but that the victim, named as Andrew Brest (pictured), wouldn’t relent and walked around into the booth to confront Brendan.

“He came round the back, started trying to whisper to me and barging into my back,” continued Brendan. “After telling him as politely as I could to fuck right off, he grabbed my shoulder to pull me around to face him and without thinking I just nutted him in anger. I’m sorry but I just lost it.”

A bloodied Andrew, who declined to comment, is said to have only suffered a fat lip and embarrassment was escorted from the premises by security staff and told to “not be a dick” in future.

Witnesses claim that “what the DJ did was totally out of order”, but that “the guy was sort of asking for it” due to him persistently interrupting the DJ while he was trying to work by “pulling on his sleeve and asking for that Ten Walls track, the one that goes ‘dum, dum dum dum, dum dum DUM.'”

“I can see the DJ’s frustration,” said the witness, “with that description, it could have been any Ten Walls track.”

“I think the crowd cheering when it happened was probably a bit uncalled for,” concluded the witness. “That just added insult to injury, literally.”

Brendan, who is out on bail pending sentencing, apologised profusely for his actions and is expected to be cautioned and fined for the incident.

“Thankfully I didn’t lose my job,” concluded Brendan, “in fact they’ve made me resident and are talking about giving me my own night entitled Headbutt.”
