Majority Of Dance Music Fans Now In Mexico & India

The latest online statistics have confirmed the majority of the world’s dance music fans are now located in Mexico and India.

The news sees a complete shift from dance music’s traditional powerbase, with Europe and the United States having previously been the industry’s strongholds.

According to the social media accounts of some of dance music’s biggest stars, the majority of people who interact with these accounts are now living in Mexico City and rural areas of India.

Wunderground traveled to Uttar Pradesh, India’s most populous state, to see the impact dance music was having on the local community.

We spoke to Mandip Bhatt, an agricultural worker, “I work in a field for twelve hours every day, breaking my back to feed my family, I haven’t got a fucking clue what dance music is.”

“Does this really look like the kind of place where you’re likely to find a big fancy dance music party,” continued Mandip. “Probably not, unless you consider a donkey pulling a plough, to the soundtrack of me playing a homemade flute, fancy.”

“I don’t know where you’re getting your statistics, but I think somebody’s pulling your leg, my friend.”

Sources within the music industry have claimed that, while there are genuine fans in these areas, the sudden surge in numbers has been “pathetically paid for” by some of “dance music’s biggest cretins”.
