Ex-labour party leader Ed Miliband was spotted on Ibiza’s San Antonio beach at 6am Sunday morning having a “deep meaningful chat” with a gaggle of partygoers.
Miliband was reportedly suffering a massive comedown on one of the final mornings of his Ibiza holiday with witnesses saying that he was tearfully reflecting on the recent election result, describing himself as a ‘broken man’ and feeling as though he ‘let down the country’ following his loss.
“He had his arm around me for a good hour, occasionally weeping and drooling onto my shoulder,” said Kevin, who claims to have split a bag of pills with the Labour politician over the course of the night.
“By 6am he was a full-on emotional wreck, he didn’t even fancy the after party, which was unusual for Ed.”
Following the election result and his announcement that he was stepping down as Labour leader, Miliband flew out to the white island with his wife Justine.
According to a taxi driver who collected the couple at Ibiza airport, Miliband explained that he left his kids at home because he “did not want them to take up valuable time that could be spent spangled on some good techno and house.”
Another witness from the beach says Ed was entertaining everyone around him with a game of “shag, marry, avoid” between Nigel Farage, David Cameron and Nick Clegg, before his wife came down to the beach screaming at him to come to bed.
“He looked like a mischievous kid as his wife dragged him off the beach by his hair,” says Erica, an eye witness. “He even shouted ‘see you next year’ before vomiting into a bin and slumping into the nearest taxi.”
Reports that he will soon retire from politics altogether, in order to pursue his dream of a residency at one of Ibiza’s super clubs, remain unconfirmed.
