Dutch EDM superstar Martin Garrix has given his fans an extra Christmas treat this year by showing the entire production process for his smash hit single Animals in one six second Vine.
Garrix, an avid Vine user, shot to fame with the 2013 release on Spinnin’ Records and has since become one of the biggest names in the EDM industry, finishing in third place in this year’s DJ Mag Top 100 DJs poll.
“It’s been a great year and I owe a lot of the success I’ve experienced to my fans,” claimed Garrix in a recent interview. “Well actually most of my success is down to me being so awesome but my PR advisor told me to say that about the fans, I definitely owe most of the blow jobs I’ve experienced to my fans so I don’t mind giving them a shout out.”
“I really wanted to give something back this year,” he stated generously, “but I didn’t really want to have to make any effort while doing it so I decided I’d make a Vine showing the entire creative and production process for my track Animals. It was basically the only thing that I was able to throw together in under ten seconds that I thought my fans would actually like.”
“Despite only being six seconds long, the Vine is quite detailed,” revealed the star, who claims he’ll be having a white Christmas in Avicii’s house this year. “It shows everything, right through from me having the idea of the song to me clicking send on the email I sent to the ghostwriter in India who actually produced it, I even managed to fit in a couple of seconds of me doing press ups without a t-shirt on in the middle too, for the ladies.”
According to rumours, Garrix could be about to launch a five part series of one minute production master classes, where he will divulge all of his “production know how” to subscribers for the low-low cost of just $3,000.
