Room Full Of Men Decide There Is Enough Women In Dance Music

Room full of men decide theres enough women in the indusrty

Reports of a severe lack of equality in the electronic music industry have finally been put to bed after a room full of men decided that there was “more than enough” women in the industry.

The Ladies in American Dance Society, or the LADS, an association made up entirely of men who meet every year to discuss women’s roles in the music industry, made the decision at their AGM in a Las Vegas strip club earlier this week.

Wunderground caught up with Leslie Behan, a LADS spokesperson who happens to be a man, earlier, “There has been a lot of talk of inequality and sexism in the dance music industry but, after much deliberation, the rest of the members of LADS and I have come to the conclusion that there is absolutely nothing to be getting your knickers in a twist about because there’s more than enough chicks on the scene.”

“We are now certain, beyond all reasonable doubt, that these matters have been raised by men, who simply weren’t good enough to make it in the industry, posing as poor defenceless women, in an attempt to get some sort of twisted revenge,” continued Mr Behan. “We’re now happy to continue just the way we are knowing that women are well represented and happy with the decision the LADS have made.”

According to struggling female artist Rita Caniz, the words of the LADS spokesperson are as irrelevant in the modern dance music industry as Steve Aoki’s mixer or bottles of water on Ricardo Villalobos’s rider.

“It’s bullshit,” claimed an angry Caniz, “All you have to do is look at any lineup from any festival in the world and you can see that there IS inequality in the industry. It’s about time people like the LADS stop talking about it on social media and actually do something positive to make a difference. There are plenty of talented women out there who are waiting for an opportunity.”

“Let’s stop giving gigs to the likes of Paris Hilton or Flashy Big Tits and give some more real artists the chance to shine.”
