A DJ, who also owns an independant record label, has shocked the entire world by including a track from a rival label on his latest Beatport chart.
Peter Flush, also known as DJ Toilet and owner of WC Records, released the head turning chart early this morning, causing the entire music industry to grind to a complete standstill.
“At first, when I saw the chart, I thought it was just a normal chart, you know, a self servicing, conceited, narcissistic vessel with no other purpose apart from ego stroking,” explained Beatport user Magabeatz505, “but when I looked a little closer I noticed something very unusual, the tenth place track was from a different label to the rest of the tracks, it looked so weird.”
“Naturally, I thought it was a mistake so I contacted Beatport’s quality control team to report it but they just told me that it wasn’t a mistake at all and that the track was actually supposed to be there,” continued the shocked online customer. “I’ve never seen anything like this before, I had to sit down and have drink just to steady myself.”
According to Beatport statistics, DJ Toilet charted Ferreck Dawn and Joe Stone’s current track Man Enough, released on Spinnin’ Records, in tenth place alongside seven of his own tracks and two of his remixes, all released on WC Records.
“I really don’t know what DJ Toilet was thinking when he decided to include a rival label’s track in his Beatport chart,” claimed online music expert and YouTube troll JakeBigDickRobinson. “I’ve listened to some of the other tracks on the chart and they’re really bad, not even the person who produced them could like them so we can rule out any music Toilet actually likes being on the chart. The only explanation I can come up with is that he’s getting paid to include it.”
“As far as I can tell, the only purpose of most DJ charts is to showcase your, or your label’s, latest releases,” continued Robinson. “So as soon as I see a chart with over half of the music on it coming from the same source I automatically know that it’s basically just an advertisement for something and it loses all credibility, a bit like anything with David Guetta’s name on it.”
Wunderground asked DJ Toilet to explain the track’s inclusion but he claimed he “wouldn’t know anything about Beatport charts” and recommended we speak to WC Records’ PR team.
